Devang Shah is a Cost Accountant, CFP^CM and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. 

Immediately after completing with his business school, Devang worked in the investment banking industry assisting Mr. M. V. Shah, his father and a veteran Merchant Banker, in structuring complex financial deals. What caught his attention was the glaring disparity in the quality of advice available at an institutional level versus that available for individuals. In the early years when financial planning for individuals was unheard of, the role of a Fiduciary for advising individuals made practical sense to him. This led him to setting up Right Returns, India’s first Financial Planning practice, in June 2000.

Devang has worn many hats in the profession including serving on the first Examination and Certification Committee of the CFP body in India as well as serving as Chair of the Global Advisory Council of the FPA, USA. His persistence and unwillingness to be bogged down by ‘current’ structures & systems has played an important role in Right Returns’ leadership in the area of personal financial advice.

Devang is fond of cycling, meditation and running. He believes there is only one way of seeing things and that is to see the whole of it.
